What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file your browser stores when you visit a site. It carries an identifier the site recognizes on your next visit — that's how a session stays signed in across page loads, how a preference like dark mode is remembered, and how anonymous analytics counts unique visitors without knowing who you are.

Saturn uses the smallest set of cookies the product can run on. We don't run advertising cookies, we don't sell data to ad networks, and we don't run third-party trackers. This page lists every cookie we set, what it's for, and how long it lives.

Cookie categories

Saturn groups cookies into three categories. Only essential cookies are required for the service to function — the rest are off unless you opt in.

  • Essential. Required to sign you in, keep your session secure, and attribute creator referrals correctly. The product can't run without these.
  • Preference. Remember your UI choices (theme, dismissed banners). Optional — Saturn works without them, you'll just re-set the preference each visit.
  • Analytics. Anonymized aggregate counts (Vercel Analytics, cookieless on most pages). No personal identifiers, no third-party ad attribution.

What we don't do

Saturn doesn't run advertising cookies. We don't load Facebook Pixel, Google Ads, LinkedIn Insight Tag, TikTok Pixel, or any other ad-attribution tag on the marketing surface. We don't sell, share, or rent your cookie data. We don't fingerprint your device.

If you ever inspect a request from saturnos.app or saturn.army and see a third-party cookie that isn't on the table on this page, write security@saturnos.app — that would be a regression we'd want to fix.

Managing cookies

Every modern browser lets you view, restrict, and delete cookies. The path is roughly the same across browsers — Settings → Privacy → Cookies. You can block third-party cookies entirely (Saturn doesn't rely on them, so you'll lose nothing) or clear specific cookies after the fact.

Blocking essential cookies will sign you out and prevent further sign-in. Blocking preference cookies will reset your theme each visit. Blocking analytics cookies has no effect on functionality.

Do Not Track

Saturn respects the browser-level Do Not Track signal. When a request arrives with DNT=1, we skip the cookieless analytics call. Essential cookies are still set because the product can't run without them — you can sign out at any time to clear the session.

Changes to this list

When the cookie list changes — a new analytics provider, a new preference cookie, a removal — we update the table on this page and bump the date below. Material changes (e.g. introducing a new third-party provider) are also called out in the changelog.
